- famous commentary written by Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī on the collection of authetic prophetic traditions al-Jāmiʿ al-ṣaḥīḥ by Abū ʿAbdallāh Muḥammad ibn Ismāʿīl ibn Ibrāhīm al-Bukhārī (256/870; EI2 I/296-297; GAL I/157-160 S I/260-265;GAS I/115-134; Kaḥḥālah IX/52-53; Ziriklī VI/34), one of the six canonical Sunni Ḥadīth collections. The Leipzig manuscript contains the second part of al-ʿAsqalānī's commentary as fragment. The commentary begins with the Abwāb al-adhān and ends with Kitāb al-tahajjud, bāb al-tahajjud bil-layl.
